What this is
Recolour a point cloud by elevation, intensity, classification, RGB or scan angle. Slide the density down and watch the frame rate climb — the trade-off every survey viewer makes.
The cloud is generated procedurally in a worker-free loop: ground plane, building shells, pipe racks, vegetation and a few deliberate outliers. Classification codes follow the ASPRS scheme, so the colour ramps match what a real LAS file would give you. The point budget slider is the honest version of what 'streaming' means — you are always looking at a subsample chosen for your screen.
Things worth trying
- Switch colour mode to Classification and hide vegetation
- Drop density to 15% — note the frame counter and the shape you can still read
- Raise point size on a sparse cloud to fake density (everyone does this)
- Clip the Z range to isolate the pipe rack from the floor
