Reality capture
Photogrammetry capture planner
Plan the shoot, then watch which surfaces never reconstruct.
What this is
Lay out camera stations for a rig, then test every point on the subject against every camera. Points that never get enough clean views come back red — they are the holes a real solve hands you.
Coverage is computed, not scripted: a surface point reconstructs only if enough cameras see it from an angle the matcher can still correlate. That single rule produces every lesson on the page — why a turntable can never capture the base of an object, why a glazed vase needs twice the views of a boot, and why the hundredth photo stops buying you anything.
Things worth trying
- Switch to the turntable rig and look underneath — the base is red and no photo count fixes it
- Turn on the second flipped pass and watch the base resolve
- Pick the glazed vase: low-texture surfaces need six views per point, not three
- Push photos to 240 and watch coverage saturate while processing time keeps climbing
Bring us the product you were told could not be configured.
Tell us the option count, the CAD you already have and the frame budget you need to hit. An engineer reads it and replies with a straight answer — including when the answer is that good photography would serve you better.
We reply to every enquiry within one business day, in your timezone — with a frame budget, not a brochure.
