Spatial Commerce

3D product pages, AR placement and a cart that understands variants.

glTF 2.0USDZWebXR Device APIDracoKTX2 / Basis Universal

The commerce half: 3D on the product detail page, WebXR and Quick Look for in-room placement, and a variant-aware cart that survives the handoff to Shopify, Magento, SAP Commerce or your own checkout.

Spatial commerce fails at the seams — the 3D viewer is beautiful, then the configuration reaches the cart as a text blob nobody can fulfil. This module owns the seams. Configurations serialise to a stable, versioned payload; the cart line item carries geometry hash, BOM, price breakdown and a render URL; the order confirmation email shows the exact thing the customer built. AR is generated in the same pass — USDZ for iOS Quick Look, glTF for Android Scene Viewer, WebXR for headsets — from one source asset.

What it does

  • Drop-in 3D product viewer with lazy WebGL boot after first interaction
  • AR: USDZ Quick Look, Android Scene Viewer and WebXR from one glTF
  • Variant-aware cart payloads that round-trip through the order system
  • Automated hero renders and 360 spins per variant, cached at the edge
  • Try-in-your-room with plane detection, occlusion and real-world scale
  • Analytics: which option combinations get built, abandoned and bought

What changes for you

  • Returns fall because the customer saw the actual configuration at real scale
  • One asset serves the PDP, the AR view, the ad creative and the catalogue
  • Merchandising can ship a new colourway without a photo shoot

4,860 chair configurations, zero photographed

A contract seating range with nine option groups was sold through a 40-page swatch PDF. Specifiers emailed to ask whether combinations existed; roughly one order in six arrived with a combination the factory could not build, and each one cost a week of renegotiation.

Three studio visits became one

A kitchen quote took three studio visits and a designer's afternoon in a desktop tool the customer never saw. Around a third of plans drawn were not manufacturable at the sizes drawn, discovered at the factory.

Tell us the option count, the CAD you already have and the frame budget you need to hit. An engineer reads it and replies with a straight answer — including when the answer is that good photography would serve you better.

We reply to every enquiry within one business day, in your timezone — with a frame budget, not a brochure.
