The challenge

Every machine quote round-tripped through applications engineering because only they knew which spindle, axis and coolant combinations were valid. Nine days elapsed between enquiry and quote. Competitors quoting in two were winning deals on responsiveness alone.

How we approached it

The constraint set went into a rule graph — including the ones nobody had written down, like the 24,000 rpm spindle requiring through-spindle coolant as a warranty condition. Sales engineers now configure live in the customer's office, on a laptop, offline if the site has no signal.

What we delivered

  • 112-constraint rule graph covering spindle, axis, coolant and automation options
  • Offline-capable configurator for site visits with no connectivity
  • Quote PDF, layout drawing and ERP payload generated from one configuration
  • Regional pricing tiers and dealer permission levels
“We assumed the win would be the 3D. The win was that applications engineering stopped being a bottleneck and started being a reviewer.”
— Director, Sales

Figures on this page are illustrative composites, not audited client metrics, and the client is unnamed by design. They indicate what this kind of engagement is worth measuring — not what it is guaranteed to return.

Bring us the product you were told could not be configured.

Tell us the option count, the CAD you already have and the frame budget you need to hit. An engineer reads it and replies with a straight answer — including when the answer is that good photography would serve you better.

We reply to every enquiry within one business day, in your timezone — with a frame budget, not a brochure.
