The problem

Slotting decisions are made in a WMS spreadsheet. The consequence — pickers walking 14 km a shift, congestion at aisle ends, AMRs deadlocking at a crossing — is invisible until someone complains.

The objection we hear most

They do the slotting maths, and they do it well. What they usually do not do is show it to you on the actual building, which is where the aisle-end congestion becomes obvious.
